I’ve been diving into sustainable textiles lately, and I’m amazed by how many options there are beyond organic cotton. For instance, Tencel from eucalyptus trees not only feels amazing but also has a low environmental impact. What are some of your favorite eco-friendly materials, and how do you incorporate them into your designs?
I love Tencel too! It drapes so beautifully. I often mix it with hemp for added durability — both are super eco-friendly.
It’s great to see the focus on Tencel; it really does have an incredible feel and sustainability profile. I’ve been playing with incorporating recycled polyester into my designs for added texture, which can balance out the softness of Tencel. Have you found any challenges in sourcing these eco-friendly fabrics?
I totally hear you on the variety of sustainable textiles. , it’s frustrating to see so many brands still sticking with synthetic options that aren’t great for the planet. I’ve been using Tencel too, but I’ve also started incorporating organic linen — it’s got such a lovely texture.
